The Hong Kong ICT Awards 2007

Hong Kong ICT Awards - to recognize and commend the excellent achievements to ICT professionals and organizations contribute.The Hong Kong ICT Awards 2007 is supported by The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The Government Chief Information Officer(OGCIO) is Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Awards.
Hong Kong ICT Awards were established as a collaborative effort among industry support organizations, ICT professional bodies, academia and the Government to build a large scale and internationally recognized branding of ICT awards of Hong Kong. The Awards aim to recognize, promote and commend the excellent achievements to which Hong Kong ICT professionals and organizations contribute. It represents that the ICT industry is raising their professionalism towards international recognitions. Each category winners were screened and chosen with the utmost standard.
The outstanding achievements of the local information and communications technology (ICT) industry professionals were recognized at the presentation ceremony of Hong Kong ICT Awards 2007 on January 21, 2008.
Addressing the ceremony, the Financial Secretary, Mr. John C Tsang said, "The Awards received 330 high quality entries this year. Such overwhelming response not only demonstrates the innovativeness and creativity of our ICT sector, but also echoes our strength as a vibrant digital city that strives for excellence."
Mr Tsang stressed that the Government was fully committed to helping Hong Kong's economy to improve its competitiveness under the overwhelming globalization trend, noting that it had recently published the "2008 Digital 21 Strategy", a blueprint for ICT development.
Running in its second year, the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2007 aims to recognize and promote the outstanding achievements of local ICT professionals and organizations.
